James Scott "Scottie"
Our much-loved Scottie is an angel too soon. He left this world late in the evening December 29th, losing his life in an automobile accident. Scott was born on March 7, 1988, in Reno to loving parents, James "Pokey" and Stephanie. He attended Mamie Towles Elementary School, Clayton Middle School and graduated from McQueen High School in June of 2006. He was employed by Aaron Brothers in Reno.
Scottie loved life. Everyone that knew Scott knew that he loved kids and was a great entertainment to all his little cousins. "Is Scottie coming?" was the oft-repeated refrain from the many younger cousins at Walsh Sunday dinners. Music, writing and drawing were in his soul and touched all that he did.
Scott leaves behind so many he loved and who dearly love him. His parents, Stephanie and Gary Bockman and Pokey and Helena Walsh, his brothers, Matthew Walsh and Nicholas Bockman, his paternal grandparents, Jim and Pat Walsh, step grandparents, Anita and Bubby Mendelson, Betty and Ed Smith, his beloved girlfriend Chelsea Zuppan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to name here.
A memorial service for Scott will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2 p.m., Ross Burke and Knobel Mortuary, 2155 Kietzke Lane in Reno, Nevada 89502. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite local charity.
....I dream about please don't go, trying to change what seems to be, even though I know that this is life. By Scott Walsh
