Myrtle Ward passed away at her home in Reno on Oct. 7, 2010. Myrtle was born in Chico, CA to Claude and Grace Jason on April 11, 1914. Myrtle had been a long time resident of Fallon, moving away after the death of her husband Herb Ward.

Myrtle was an active member of the Lahontan Branch of Neighbors of Woodcraft. Myrtle had moved to Fort Bragg for a time after the death of her husband, she became a volunteer at the Fort Bragg Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband Herb Ward; sons, Donald and Douglas Rogers; grandson Murl Ward and her numerous brothers and sisters. Myrtle is survived by her son, Darwin Ward of Reno; brother, Bud Bloxham of Loomis, CA; grandchildren, Monte Ward; Lani Mitchell; Laura Ward; Darin Ward; Dick Rogers; Donny Rogers; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Myrtle's life will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 PM at The Gardens Chapel with interment to follow at the Churchill County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home 2949 Austin Highway, Fallon, NV 89406, 775-423-8928.
