Michael was born September 28, 1957, in Reno, to Donald and Karen Bell. He graduated from Wooster High School and spent several years in Mesa, Arizona, where he studied Architecture. While in Arizona, his son Tyler Anthony Bell was born to he and Anita (Maddox). Shortly thereafter, he moved back to Reno to raise his family in the city he loved.
In 1990, he married the love of his life, Nancy. Michael was a devoted husband to his wife, and a dedicated and loving father to his children Tyler, Paige and Spencer, and a proud new grandfather to his grandaughter, Daisy. Michael was an architect, an artist, a designer, and a lover of all things beautiful. His generous spirit and easy smile endeared him to everyone he encountered.
Michael is survived by his mother, Karen Bell and his beloved brothers, Mitch and Mark Bell, who love and miss him more than words can express. In addition, he is survived by nieces, Alena, Camila, Stefani and Ava Bell; nephews, Ryan Bell, and Joseph, Daniel and Ben Vazquez. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bell, and his son, Tyler Bell.
The entire family of Michael Bell would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Aaron Bowman, Dr. Harold Kennedy, and Dr. Frieda Hulka, as well as the Renown ICU nursing staff, for their care and kindness during this difficult time. A celebration of Michael's life will be held on January 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Washoe Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's honor to Artown (via email: renoisartown.com, or check, payable to: Artown, PO Box 3058, Reno, NV 89505).
