Patricia McGrath Obituary

Patricia Irene Crouse McGrath

Patricia Irene Crouse McGrath went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2011. She passed gently away with her loving family by her side. Born in Bakersfield, California on February 6, 1934, she moved with her family to the Santa Cruz area in 1942 where she lived until she moved to Salinas as a young adult in the late 1950's. She relocated to Reno, Nevada in 1980. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John "Jack" McGrath, and parents Calvin and Mahala Deakin Crouse. She is survived by her daughters, Tena Geren of Reno, and Melissa Hall (Rick) Corda, granddaughter Christal Corda (David) Sexton and great grandson Isaiah Corda of Salinas, California. She is also survived by her sister Eva Esty, and brother and sister-in-law Bob and Carol Crouse of Reno. She also leaves behind many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will miss her beautiful smile, giving heart, and indomitable spirit. Those of us left behind lost the most precious Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and friend who will live on in our hearts forever. Her family would like to thank all of the staff at Atria Summit Ridge and Saint Mary's Hospice for their compassion in caring for our dear Pat. There will be a celebration of life memorial held in her honor on May 21, 2011, 2:00 pm, in the Club House at Donner Springs Mobile Home Village, 4465 Boca Way, Reno. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 691 Sierra Rose Dr #A, Reno, NV 89511; Saint Mary's Hospice, 429 Elm St, Reno, NV 89503; or Boxers and Buddies of Reno dog rescue, PO Box 895, Virginia City, NV 89440.
