Henry Joseph and Martha Joy Blevins Brissette

BRISSETTE. Henry Joseph Brissette III, 59, and Martha Joy Blevins Brissette, 56, longtime residents of Henrico, Virginia, passed suddenly on March 27, 2016. Henry was born on September 16, 1956 in Northampton, Massachusetts to Henry J. Brissette, Jr. and Theresa Mae Treumer. Henry attended Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a longtime employee of Ukrop's/Martin's Supermarkets. He previously worked for the Lewis and Hitchcock Pipe Organ Building Company. Henry had a passion for organ music, served as an organist for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and was a member of the American Guild of Organists. Martha was born on April 30, 1959 in Salisbury, Maryland to the late Rev. Reuben W. Blevins Jr. and Miriam R. Walters Blevins. Martha received her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees at the University of Richmond T. C. Williams School of Law. Martha proudly spent most of her career in the various positions of Assistant Attorney General, staff attorney and policy analyst for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She most recently enjoyed her position at the State Board of Elections. Martha was a talented baker and loved to create beautiful cakes for family and friends. Martha and Henry were married May 24, 1981 at the Cannon Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Richmond. They were the parents of daughter, Madeline B.
