Sidney Fryer Obituary

Oct 7, 1926 - Mar 14, 2013

It was with great anticipation that Sidney Fryer left this world on Thursday March 14, 2013 and joined his Lord in heaven. He would like to be remembered by family and friends as a friend of Jesus. Married to Zennie in 1996, she brought him great joy as they shared life together in his senior years. Sidney was born in London England in 1926 into a large family, and later married Ruth Hills and moved to Canada with his young family. Sid graduated from McMaster Divinity College in Hamilton, accepting God's call to full time ministry. Sid was a loving husband, brother, son, father (children: Jane, Susan, Stephen and Annette), grandfather (Jackie, Matt, Jemimah, Tim, Greg, Ruth, Kyla, Gary, Michael, Julie and Jennie) and Great grandfather (16 great grandchildren), pastor and friend. Sid was predeceased by his wife Ruth Hills in 1964, and his wife Fran Sousedik, in 1991. We, his family will miss him, his love, his British humor, his encouragement and love for us all. A celebration of Sid's life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at Olivet Baptist Church, 613 Queens Ave., New Westminster, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope International Development Agency (214 6th St. New Westminster, BC, V3L 3A2) or Olivet Baptist Church (613 Queens Ave., New Westminster, BC, V3M 1L1) will be gratefully accepted.

Published by Burnaby Now and New Westminster Record from Mar. 20 to Mar. 28, 2013.
