FORREST, Anna Jane May 17, 1929 - November 1, 2013 . It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Jane Forrest (nee Theurer), age 84, who passed away peacefully at Lion's Gate Hospital in North Vancouver after a short battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Shelley; niece, Susan; and nephew, Jim. Anna was predeceased by her husband Terry; sister, Sonja; and brother Tarje. She was raised in Billings, Montana, where her father, who had been educated in Berne, Switzerland, was a highly respected surgeon. She and Terry met at UCLA, where she was studying education. They moved to West Vancouver in 1953 and Terry taught Philosophy at UBC. Together, with architect Ron Thom, they designed a home that won the Massey Medal for architecture in Canada in 1964. She had a great sense of humour, a keen interest in world events and loved listening to the radio. She was a wonderful mother and wife, loved to entertain and was a long-time member of the Hollyburn Country Club. She had an impeccable sense of fashion and an excellent sense of style and décor. She will be greatly missed. If you would like to attend a private service for her, please call Shelley at 604-908-1642.
