Dorothy Phyllis Jackson (nee Garraway) January 12,1919 - July 4, 2013 Dot passed peacefully at home at daughter Barbara's in Calgary Alberta. Dot was predeceased by her husband George and son Brian Jackson. Mother is survived by son Geoff (Barbara), grandson Christopher (Shayna), great grandsons Findlay and Bennett, granddaughter Sara (Shawn Dawson), great granddaughter Ava, daughter Barbara (Steve Wills), granddaughter Stephanie, son George D. Jackson. Dorothy is survived by her sister Barbara Mortimer of Penticton and numerous nieces and nephews. After husband George passed away Dorothy managed Jackson' s Meat until her 85th birthday and is fondly remembered as the "lady behind the cashier window." From the early seventies, Dorothy and husband George raised pure bred Dorset Sheep, chickens, ducks, horses, peacocks, donkey's and 4h beef. Every fall Dorothy hosted a farm party which many people will fondly remember. A celebration for Dorothy's life will take place Sept. 1, 2013, please contact for details
