GREENWOOD, Elizabeth "Betty" Juliana Sept 14, 1927 - Feb 12, 2014 . Betty passed away peacefully at the age of 86 at Lions Gate Hospital with her last days filled with love from family & friends. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Carmon (2011), and parents, John & Juliana Cameron, and sister, Jean. Betty will be missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Duncan (Giesela), children, David (Linda), Glen (Julie), Neil (Norman), & Nancy (David), grandchildren, Carla, Paul, Tiami, Spencer, Kyle, Kira, & Rianne, great grandson, Colby, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Born in Vancouver, Betty grew up in Kitsilano & Burnaby, lived all her adult life in North Vancouver and her last 13 months at Inglewood Lodge. She worked for many years at Eaton's W.V. and volunteered at various organizations, but her family was always her passion. She will be remembered by all as a most compassionate, caring wife, mother, and woman, with a generous, patient heart, giving her energy and love to all her family, friends, and longtime neighbours. She enjoyed spending time with Carmon at their Cariboo cabin at Lesser Fish Lake, and her beautiful garden & home in N. Van, where she so proudly nurtured her children & grandchildren, and welcomed visitors, gifting them all with many fond memories. She had a reputation as the best pie maker and her many baking treats will be fondly remembered by all. Her family would like to thank her longtime caregiver,Gloria, for her love and assistance and the staff at the Inglewood Lodge. There will be no service at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned for the future. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
