ROSS, Howard Victor November 23, 1917 - January 2, 2014 Was born in Vancouver and was the third child of Elizabeth and John Ross. He passed away in North Vancouver surrounded by love. Always one for adventure, he enlisted on September 3, 1939. After Dieppe, he transferred to the 1st Special Air Service (SAS) where he served as a paratrooper commando officer until the end of the war. Upon his return to Canada, he studied law at UBC. In 1946 he married Enid Williams and joined the firm of his father-in-law and wife - Williams and Ross in 1950. He loved his corgis, especially Mr Morgan, and for years walked them at Ambleside every morning. He is survived by his brother Jack and sister Helen, daughter Gail and grandson Tyler. He is predeceased by his wife, Enid, son, Jock (Graeme), and brothers Gordon and Don. We will miss his wonderful smile, his dry humour and his dancing feet. We would like to thank all his caregivers who made such a difference in his life during the past few years and the doctors and staff at the Palliative Unit at Lions Gate Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
