Ross, Norma (nee Crockett)

Born in Liverpool, England on April 23rd, 1931, Norma passed away in Victoria, B.C. on May 21st, 2012. Predeceased by her parents Sylvia and George, and loving husband, Albert (1990), she is survived by her son Peter (Sheila), daughter Heather (Tim), and grandchildren Sharon, Alan, Meghan and Alison, as well as her sister, Margaret, brother, Jackie and many nieces and nephews in Liverpool. Mom was always full of life and energy, if she wasn't out walking her dog Joey along Cattle Point she could be found volunteering her time at the Monterey Centre, or greeting cruise ship passengers at Ogden Point. Mom loved to sing and dance and was an avid member of the Monterey Notables. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; she showed us all the meaning of love and how to live life to its fullest. Whether it was a kind word, warm hug, or a nice cup of tea, Mom was always there for us. Unfortunately mom was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and although she was determined to maintain her independence she was admitted to Beckley Farm Lodge for the last few months of her life. We are so grateful to all the wonderful staff at Beckley Farm for making our mom feel welcome and comfortable and also helping her find the peace she so much deserved. By family request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the S.P.C.A. or the Alzheimer's Society of Vancouver would be warmly appreciated.

Love you ten tons Nana xoxo.
