APPELLE (Taillon), Olive . Olive passed away peacefully on October 29th, in North Vancouver after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Olive was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Jim; her mother, Rita; father, OJ; brothers, Dick and George; and sister, Helen. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Don (Christine), Barb (Brian) and Carolyn (Kevin); and grandchildren, Owen, Jessica and Brittney. Olive was raised in Fort William, Ontario, where she married the love of her life in February 1953. She and Jim both worked hard to provide for their family. She started her legal career in 1943 and worked at the law firm of Weiler, Weiler and Maloney until 1972 when the family moved from Thunder Bay to North Vancouver. Olive always supported others in the community and she was very active in the Catholic Women's league, Meals on Wheels, as well as other charity groups. Olive always put her family first, and was there to support her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strength and kindness. A private family service will be held.
