For many years, she worked as a speech and language therapist with Laughlin Children's Center in Sewickley helping children challenged with speech and hearing disabilities. Florence also taught briefly for the Sewickley Public School District earlier in her career.
In her retirement, Florence enjoyed volunteering for local charities. She also loved walking and playing with her loyal dog, Molly, and lunch outings with her friends.
