William "Jim" James Chester Jr., 64, of Dunnellon, entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 7, 2018.
Jim was born Sept. 21, 1953, in Miami, to his parents, William James and Dorothy Lillian (Duby) Chester. In 1963, the Chester family moved from Miami to Dunnellon. Jim grew up enjoying fishing, boating and NASCAR racing. He especially loved to spend time with his family and friends. Jim was also a certified draftsman, co-owner of C&H Drywall of Ocala and a proud member of Dunnellon Community Church.
Jim is survived by his sisters, Darlene Hammock (Tim) of Dunnellon, Carolyn Vairo (Richard); two nephews; four nieces; six great nephews; and six great nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Souls Harbor Church of Dunnellon. Officiating the service will be Jim's church leader, Pastor Rick Hooper of Dunnellon Community Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County or to Dunnellon Community Church.
