Janice Phillips Daugherty, 74, of Harriman, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in the Courtyard of Oak Ridge.
She was born Sept. 2, 1938, in the New River community of Anderson County.
She was a faithful Christian and a member of Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. She was employed in the environmental services department for Sodexo at Methodist Medical Center for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Daugherty; her parents, Jessie and Marcy McGhee Phillips; a brother, Paul McGhee; a sister, Vaudie Zeh; and a twin brother and sister, Carlos and Gladys Phillips.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Kozel and her husband Glenn; a niece, Melissa Creamer and her husband Kyle; and great-nieces, Katie and Taylor Creamer all of Aurora, Ohio. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating. Burial and graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Beech Park Baptist Church. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.
