Charles F. Norman, 76, of the Cave Creek community, passed away Sunday March 24, 2013.
Born April 16, 1936, he was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary Norman. He was a member of New Midway Baptist Church. He served as Roane County Road Superintendent from 1988-96. He and his wife, Phyllis, built Normans Quick Check and served the community for 21 years. He was an honorary staff member of the 32nd Legislative District, member of East Fork Masonic Lodge 460, Harriman, as well as a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J., U.S.A., and a Shriner.
He is survived by wife of 55 years, Phyllis; daughter, Pam Varner; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Michael Ritchie; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ann Norman, and John and Anne Norman; grandchildren, Dan, Travis and Cayla Varner, Alan Coley, Jeff, Tiffany and Koty Ritchie, Blake and Logan Norman, Faith, Isaac and Isaiah Norman; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Jack Varner, Emery Cooper and Addison Norman; sister, Jessie Dutton; nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with the Rev. Howard Huffine officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at Calvary Cemetery.
