Clarence Allen Walker, 84, of Rockwood, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.
He was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Rockwood, to U.A. and Laura Collier Walker. He was a member of Rockwood First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran and a member of the VFW
, American Legion and DAV. He was co-owner of Walker's Auto & Home Supply in Rockwood. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Louise Walker, Martha Ann Marco Walker and Joyce Walker; brother, Herbert Walker; and sisters, Madeline Bentley and Juanita Wade.
Survivors include sons, Steve Walker and wife Loretta, Rockwood, Gary Walker, Knoxville, David Smith, Harriman, John Smith and wife Laura, Oak Ridge, and Robert Lynn Smith and wife Pat, Spring City; daughters, Buttons Fulmer and husband Steve, Raleigh, N.C., and Kathy Cisson and husband Larry, Rockwood; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in Rockwood First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Kara Foster officiating. The graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, with the Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, is in charge of arrangements.
