Eileen Marie Mignogna, 71, of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.
She was born July 23, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She had lived in Oliver Springs for the past 20 years, moving to Tennessee in 1993.
She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Howell and Rita Cobb Howell; and a sister, Delores Wagoner.
She is survived by her husband, Ferdinand Mignogna, Oliver Springs; sons, Charles Mignogna and wife Lisa, Michael Mignogna and Brian Mignogna; daughters, Mary Hinkle and husband Ron, and Britany Mignogna; grandchildren, Vanessa and Joshua Hinkle, Jason, Joey and Shae Whitefield and Jayme Price; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters, Barbara Hurst and husband DeWitt; and Deborah Sylvia and husband Lonnie; a brother, Robert Mignogna and wife Cathy; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends, including lifelong friends, James and Linda Borut.
The family received friends Thursday, Jan. 10. They will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. A funeral liturgy will be at 7 p.m. Friday, following the visitation, in the chapel, with Father Dustin Collins officiating.
