Elbert B. "Tad" Tadlock passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, in Roane Medical Center at the age of 85.
He was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church, The Builders Sunday school class and church choir. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps
, where he was a veteran of World War II
and Korea. He retired from TVA after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor B. and Rhoda Koontz Tadlock; and two brothers Bill G. and Bob L. Tadlock.
He is survived by his wife, Abbie "Susie" Cunningham Tadlock; two sons, Edward S. Tadlock, Atlanta, and Eric A. Tadlock; a sister-in-law, Margaret Tadlock; a sister-in-law Lorieta Tadlock; a brother-in-law John Cunningham; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ken and Jo Crabtree; a sister-in-law Joyce Stancoff; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was in Kingston United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, presided by the Rev. Gordon Ridenour, with a reception of friends following.
