George Jackson "Jack" Cofer

George Jackson "Jack" Cofer, 62, of Harriman, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1951, in Harriman. Jack was a retired boilermaker at Tennessee Valley Authority's Kingston steam plant and was member of Boilermakers Union Local 453 in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, AnnaJean Wampler and William Charles "W.C." Cofer Jr.; stepmother, Dixie Cofer; and brother, Ronnie "Boone" Cofer.
Survivors include wife, Judith "Judy" Cofer, Harriman; and stepdaughter, Carmen Eubanks, Harriman.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, with Chaplain Thomas J. Rayford officiating. An online register is available at www.evansmortuary.biz.
