Glenn A. Brummitt

Glenn A. Brummitt, 76, of Harriman, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Roane Medical Center.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Glenn worked for Tennessee Highway Patrol for 12 years before going to work as a security officer at TVA until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ora Smith Brummitt; one son, David Brummitt; and one brother, T.R. Brummitt.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patsy Armes Brummitt; his daughter, Tammy Brummitt, Knoxville; his stepson, Glenn Armes, Harriman; one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Pat Brummitt, Kingston; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sue and Jerry Johnson, Rockwood, and Jewel Davis, Harriman; one sister-in-law, Hazel Brummitt, Kingston; and one grandson whom Glenn said was the apple of his eye, Landon Armes. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and loved ones.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m., with Minister Gary Hoss officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roane Memorial Gardens.
