Jackie Dean Plemons, 69, of Harriman, joined his Lord and Saviour in Heaven on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012.
He was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Harriman. He was a veteran of the Army
National Guard and was also employed at Harriman Utility Board for 31 years. He was married to Patcelia Plemons on Dec. 21, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Grace Plemons; and two sisters, Nancy Smith and Sissy Plemons.
He is survived by his wife, Patcelia Plemons; two daughters, Shannon and husband Steve Conley and Ronda Plemons, all of Harriman; three grandchildren, Greg Letner, Nikki Conley and Brandon Skipper; two sisters, Jean Whitson and Shirley Plemons, Harriman; nieces and nephew, Susan Smith, Debbie and husband Steve Ellison, Tina Whitson and Terry Crowe; great-nieces and -nephews, Stephanie Cofer, Steven Ellison, Frankie Burgess and Ayden Newton; as well as a special friend, Don Newhouse. He is also survived by a host of other friends.
Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Harriman chapel of Kyker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Young officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Roane Memorial Gardens.
