James K. Lee, 79, of Harriman, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, in Parkwest Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
. He retired as a postal worker in Harriman after 35 years of service. After his retirement, he also worked in the electronics department at Walmart for eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Sr. and Rella Roberts Lee; one sister, Carlene Thompson; and one brother, Robert E. Lee Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ira Bingham Lee; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and NaJuana Lee, Atlanta; one daughter, Sherri Lee, Harriman; two grandsons, Robert Collins, Knoxville, and Zachary Collins, Rockwood; a special nephew, Robert Lee III and wife Lynnita, Harriman; and a special niece, Valarie Adcock and husband John, Winchester.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 8, at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood. Military honors were provided by the Roane County Honor Guard. Family and friends met at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, at 1 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's of Tennessee.
