Jean Inman Mitchell, 76, of Rockwood, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Bridge at Rockwood.
She was born January 10, 1937, in Harriman, to William Roscoe Inman and Ethel C. Shillings Mitchell. She was a member of the Clymersville Baptist Church in Rockwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Mitchell; brothers, "Sonny" Inman, J.C. Inman, and Artel Inman; and sisters, Janie Burnum, Brenda Kennedy, and Faye Parks.
Survivors include, children, Tim Goss and wife, Sharon of Rockwood, Mike Goss and wife Jeanne of Knoxville, Dan Webb and wife Michelle of Rockwood, Bill Webb and wife Beth of Rockwood and John Webb and wife Corey of Rockwood; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Tom Inman and wife Linda of Harriman, Bill Inman and wife Elaine of Kingston, Virginia Wampler and husband Don of Harriman, Lynn Housley and husband John of Loudon and Marge Rue and husband Mike and Marge Rue and husband Mike of Pigeon Forge; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Evans Mortuary. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Mortuary with the Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, for graveside services and interment. An online register is available at www.evansmortuary.biz
