Larry Everett Earick, 73, of Kingston, passed away in The Bridge at Rockwood on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013.
He retired from both Mead Corp. and Y-12. He also served in the Air National Guard. He was an avid fisherman and a practical joker. He was well known for his impersonations of Donald Duck and his hog calling. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart of 54 years, Marjorie Lynn Earick; and his parents, Marvin and Mary Earick.
He is survived by daughter, Penny Matheny and husband Derek, Kingston; son, Tim Earick and wife Vandy, Kingston; sister, Sandra Earick McAdams, Missouri; grandchildren, Josh Baker and wife Kathryn, Brandi Jones Crouse and husband Bryan, and Erica Matheny Johnson and husband Charles; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brylee, Brody, Gannon and Harlow; brothers-in-laws, Buddy Plemons and wife Sarah, and Kenny Plemons and wife Nancy; and sisters-in-law, Cheryl Brooks and husband Bob, Laura Burnette and husband Rodney, and Robin Barger and husband Robert.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with the Rev. Eddie Chasteen and the Rev. Larry Bolden officiating. Entombment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee Inc., P.O. Box 10088 Knoxville, TN 37939-9910.
