Leta "Sue" Broyles, 83, of Clinton, formerly of Rockwood, passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2013, in Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Clinton. She was retired from the former Chamberlain Memorial Hospital in Rockwood, where she worked in the admissions and discharge department. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles T. and Wilma McCullough; sister, Doreen Cash; and brother-in-law, Jack Wood.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband, John Ken Broyles Sr., Clinton; son, Ken Broyles Jr. (Sherree), Rockwood; daughter, Joy Short (Jack), Greeneville; son, Dan Broyles (Joann), Valdosta, Ga.; son, Gary Broyles (Lilly), Rolesville, N.C.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Charlene Wood, Red Bank, Wanda McKinney (David), Lenoir City, and Debbie Rowan, Red Bank; brothers, Tom McCullough (Mary Lynn), Hixson, Jackie McCullough (Peggy), Rockwood, and Ray McCullough (Cindy), Buford, Ga.; brother-in-law, Thomas Cash, Ringgold, Ga.; special friends, Delores Worley, Margie Byrd and Elsie Clifton.
Arrangements are as follows:
Visitation and funeral services were Monday, Feb. 11, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood. Visitation was from noon to 2 p.m.; funeral services were at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Kenny Raines and the Rev. Mark Galaher officiating. Concluding services and burial followed at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials can be made to the New Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1030 Oak Ridge Hwy., Clinton, TN 37716.
