Malcolm C. Blair, 83, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, in Renaissance Terrace.
He was retired from TVA as an assistant plant manager. An avid golfer, he was part owner of Lakeside Golf Course, loved gardening and working in the yard and attended First Baptist churches in Rockwood and Kingston. He had a very generous nature and loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Blair; a 12-year-old daughter, Vicki Blair; three brothers, Hershel, J.W. and Johnny Blair; and two sisters, Sybil Lowery and Gladys Henderson.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Jones (Terry), Clarksville, and Janet Krause (Bob), Chattanooga; a grandson, Randy Lemons; a brother, Franklin Blair; and four sisters, Linda Denton, Carolyn Skidmore, Frances Plott and Juanita Cooper.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood, with the Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Roane Memorial Gardens, with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday in Evans Mortuary.
