Margaret Brown True, 91, of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Kingston. She was born in Crawford, Tenn., on March 11, 1921, to William "Boss" and Essie Ashburn Brown. She moved to Devonia at an early age and attended school there. After moving to Kingston in 1951, she worked for Webb Pharmacy in the late 1950s, The Nettie Lee Shop in Oak Ridge and Bowers lunchroom. Her last and most rewarding job was that as a caregiver of granddaughter, Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fannie Moss; and brothers, Fred, Hobart, Elmer and Grover Brown.
Survivors include son, Tommy Harold True and wife Kay; daughter, Glenda Everett Buttram and husband Bob; granddaughters, Lisa Bonafede and Jennifer Vandever; great-grandddaughter, Tayler Bonafede; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in Evans chapel, with the Rev. Don Long officiating. Following the funeral, graveside and burial will be at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood.
