Marie K. Threlkeld, 89, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Asbury Place, Maryville.
She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of the Pappy Place Quilting Club of Maryville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hilda Kamer; her husbands, Clyde Lawson and T.R. Threlkeld; daughter, Helen Lawson Shadden; brothers, Robert Kamer, Johnny Kamer, Walter Kamer and Frank Kamer; and sisters, Jane McDonald and Tressie Smith.
Survivors include daughters, Judy Hughes, Maryville, Brenda Peppers, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Joann Miller, Maryville; sisters, Stena Kamer Harper, Lupton City, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. The service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood following the service.
