Marjorie Lynn Plemons Earick, 72, of Kingston, went home in the arms of Jesus Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.
She was born the eldest daughter of the late Hugh and Viola Plemons on Sept. 7, 1941. She was a former Roane County school board member, after retiring from the Roane County Board of Education as food services manager. She was an avid cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was a loving caregiver to husband Larry until the day she went to rest in the arms of Jesus. She was a great person and will sadly be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Earick, Kingston; daughter, Penelope Lynn Matheny (Derick); son, Timothy Earick (Vandy); grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joshua Baker, wife Kathryn and son Gavin; Brandy Crouse, husband Bryan and children Brylee and Brody; and Erica Johnson, husband Charles and children Gannon and Harlow; siblings, Buddy Plemons (Sarah), Cheryl Brooks (Bob), Kenneth Plemons (Nancy), Laura Burnette (Rodney) and Robyn Barger (Robert). She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Sandra McAdams, Missouri.
Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with the Rev. Eddie Chasteen and the Rev. Larry Bolden officiating. Entombment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Kingston Memorial Gardens.
