Myrtle Lee Hill, 96, of Rockwood, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, in The Bridge at Rockwood.
She was born Aug. 7, 1916, in Rockwood to John and Gertrude Tubbs Bradshaw. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Thompson and Eugene "Nooney" Hill; parents; daughter, Sandra Jean Cole; son-in-law, Kenny Cole; and sisters, Neil Bradshaw, Vida Bryant and Edith Borrow.
Survivors include son, John W. Thompson and wife Bonnie, Lenoir City; grandchildren, Kendra Howard (Dee) and Nathan Cole (Pam); great-grandchildren, Lindsey Gulmice (Spencer), Carlye Cole, Justin McCullough (Kayla), Samuel McCullough and Jakob Howard; brother, Bill Bradshaw, Rockwood; several great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 1, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. The service followed at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary, with the Rev. Wayne Mullins officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2.
