Offie E. Monk

Offie E. Monk, 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013.
She was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Overton County, the daughter of Tillman and Oakley Mae King Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Eden Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Troy Monk and wife Vickie, Harriman; daughters, Linda O'Brien and husband Dennis, Sevierville, and Patsy Monk and fiancé Albert Ingram, Knoxville; grandchildren, Kim Sheetz, Andrea Wynn Rogers, Kevin Monk and Kara Monk; and great-grandchildren, Lacey Solomon Lovelace, Micah Sheetz, Sean Homer, Barron Sheetz, Madelyn Rogers and Kendall Rose Monk. She is also survived by her special caregivers, Sally, Susan, Glenda and Kiesha.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Monk; brother, Herman W. Smith; and sister, Wilma Smith.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. CDT Friday, June 7, in Pine Eden Baptist Church in Crossville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. CDT Friday in Pine Eden Baptist Church. Graveside committal service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Banner Springs Cemetery.
