Pauline Fritts Cooper, 97, of Harriman, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She served Roane County as a teacher for 44 years. She was also a member of Harriman United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Cooper; two sisters, Louise Johnson and Sara Belle Hamby; and one brother, Robert Fritts.
She is survived by three nephews, Tom Hamby and wife Patsy, Harriman, Bob Hamby and wife Jeannie, Oak Ridge, and Robert Mason Fritts and wife Millie, Jacksonville, Fla.; four nieces, Susan Sobeck and husband Don, Ball Ground, Ga., Becky Bauer and husband Larry, Jasper, Ga., Candy Wojdakowski and husband Walt, Mary Lou Marth and husband John; and a special niece, Jill Love and husband Randy, Sale Creek.
A graveside service was at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Roane Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Mason Goodman officiating. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harriman United Methodist Church.
