Ralph J. Andermann Jr. of Oak Ridge died suddenly in early January 2013.
He was born on April 28, 1944, in New Jersey. He grew up in LaGrange, Ill. He graduated from the University of Illinois
(Urbana) with a B.S. in chemical engineering and earned a M.S. in chemical engineering from Purdue University
(West Lafayette). He served in the U.S. Army and did post-graduate work at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). He worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge until he retired several years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Lorraine Andermann.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Reid; and brother, Ronald Andermann, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
He was buried in Illinois. Suburban Family Funeral Home, Cicero, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
