Randell Guy Rucker, 52, of Madisonville, formerly of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1961, and was a deacon at Hill Top Baptist Church. Employed by TVA for 33 years, he was a devoted husband, father and loving son. He was preceded in death by father, Thomas "T.L." Rucker; father- and mother-in-law, J.D. and Mina Martin; and beloved nephew, Cody Hallcox.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa Rucker; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Megan Rucker; son, Joshua Rucker; grandchildren, Wyatt and Abigail; mother, Velma Rucker; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Archie Holt; brother and sister-in-law, Wade and Kaye Rucker; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, in Luminary United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Chris Gee, Ronnie Woody and the Rev. Billy Kurtz officiating. Burial was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Luminary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donation to Gideons International, P.O. Box 476, Kingston, TN 37763.
