Ronald Allen Loy, 49, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.
He was born April 22, 1963, in Harriman. He grew up and lived in the Mays Valley community of Roane County. He was graduated from the Oliver Springs High School class of 1981, and following, he entered into the U.S. Army
. After completing his military service, he moved to Oklahoma, where he continued to live until his move back to Tennessee in 1998.
While living in Oklahoma, he became a professional chef and continued his passion for cooking throughout his life.
He attended both Dyllis Baptist Church and the Clax Gap Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Loy and Donna Easter; and brothers, Bill Loy and Dale Shaw.
He is survived by sisters, Margaret Sulfridge and husband Paul, Morristown, Bernice Catron and husband Ben, Harriman, and Wilma Gibson and husband Lewis, Harriman; brothers, G.K. Easter and wife Young, Oakdale, and Frank Loy, Harriman; a sister-in-law, Sybil Ball, Oakdale; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
He was cremated with no memorial services being conducted. Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs, was in charge of arrangements. An online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com
