Samuel Harold Lawson

Samuel Harold Lawson, 74, of Kingston, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2014.
He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, a trustee and enjoyed singing in the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Grace Collins Lawson, Decatur; sister, Marjorie Palmer; and brother Kenneth Lawson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat; one son, Greg and wife Tracey; one precious granddaughter, Hannah Lawson, whom he adored; brothers, Doug and Jimmy Lawson, Decatur; sisters, Jane Lawson, Linda Wilson and Freda Petitt, Decatur; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, in Shiloh Baptist Church; the funeral followed at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Adrian Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund, 4242 Decatur Hwy., Kingston TN 37763. Burial was at 11 a.m. Saturday at Decatur Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston, was in charge of arrangements.
