Shirley E. Fox of Lenoir City went on to her home with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend to so many. She worked as a seamstress, with Goodwill Industries, volunteered with The Red Cross, and even as a bail bondsman. With all of that, she always made time for those she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bessie Hester Brogdon; mother-in-law, Hazel Euvella Fox; and sister-in-law, Linda Faye Fox.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, James E. Fox; son, Rodney L. Cathey and wife Jamie Bry Cathey; grandson, Riley L. Cathey; stepgrandson, Tristen Brynt Jones; sisters, Jo Ann Wright and husband, Brad, Judy Griffith, East Ridge, and Barbara Gibson and husband Robert, Meigs County; brother-in-law, Wayne Fox and wife Linda; father-in-law, Austell "Pap" Fox; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins, Audrey Hester and Linda McKee; and a great many special friends from camping.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 10 a.m. www.clickfuneralhome.com
