T.R. Brummett, 85, of Kingston, formerly of Midtown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Renaissance Terrace.
Preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Ora Smith Brummett, he was a retired draftsman and construction worker. A member of Central Church of Christ, he was a U.S. Navy veteran
of World War II
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Robinson Brummett, Kingston; children, Sandra Roberts (David), Kingston, Phyllis Brown, Nashville, Tim Brummett (Tracy), Kingston, and Kim Isham (Tim), Rockwood; grandchildren, David Bosnak, Wendi Johnson, Allison Beard, Brad and Amanda Roberts, Mia Joy and Holly Nicole Brown, Misty Thompson, Courtney Day, Zachary Brummett, Angela Young, Charm Wyrick, Deseria and Dustin Isham; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Andalynn Bosnak, Sabastian and Spencer Johnson, Isabella Beard, Kaylee and Addison Roberts, Emma and Noah Thompson, Charlie Day, Amelia and Kyle Young; sisters, Jewell Davis and Sue Johnson; brothers, Eric and Glen Brummitt; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. Funeral service followed, with Charles Brown officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Piney Grove Cemetery with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
