Violet Dean (Laymance) Anness, 73, of Kingston passed away Wednesday Oct. 16, 2013 at Roane Medical Center.
She was of the Baptist Faith, and born in Wartburg. She moved to Covington, Ky., when she was 18 and went to work at Plastic Molding in Cincinnati, where she retired. She married Paul Anness and lived in Covington until 2008 when she moved back to Tennessee. Violet loved all animals and birds and fed the crows every day. She had a cat (Tiny) and a dog (Buttercup) that she dearly loved. They were her babies.
She's preceded in death by her husband, Paul Anness; parents, James and Viola Laymance; brothers, Randal, Clarence, J.D., Russell and Claude Laymance; sisters, Corina Broido and Lora Bales.
Survivors include sisters, Georgia Turner and Carol Northern and husband Bill; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her two kids with fur, Buttercup and Tiny.
Graveside service was 1 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19, at Roane Memorial Gardens with Brother Charles Sherrell officiating. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston in charge of arrangements. www.kykerfuneralhomes.com
