William Thomas "Bill Tom" Ferguson

William Thomas "Bill Tom" Ferguson, 92, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in Roane Medical Center.
He was of the Protestant faith. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor, having served on the USS Detroit during World War II. A lifetime member of the Masons, Shriners, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, he served on the Roane County Election Commission and was retired from TVA. He enjoyed music and long walks and loved to dance.
He was preceded in death by parents, William T. Ferguson Sr. and Madge Millican Ferguson; sons, David and William Thomas Ferguson III; brothers, David and Charles Ferguson; and sister, Rose Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Ailene Ferguson, Kingston; stepchildren, Karen Lane (Brian), Terry Tidwell (Renae) and Tony Tidwell; daughter-in-law, Debbie Ferguson; sister, Mickey McCartha (Pat); one niece; one nephew; two grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Masonic memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Roane Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
