Charles Kenneth Hallcox, 84, of Kingston, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, in Roane Medical Center.
He worked for his father, cutting timber in his early years. He worked at Union Carbide in Oak Ridge, at Hammond Organ Co. in Chicago, Kirby Manufacturing Chair Co. in Lenoir City and Roane State Community College in Roane County. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and nephew and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce B. Hallcox; parents, Samuel H. and Nancy Hallcox; sister, Virginia "Juanita" Walker; brothers, Walter "Rodgers" Hallcox, Eugene Hallcox and Delmer Hallcox; and brothers-in-law, J.C. Bailey, Thomas Larry Rucker, Calvin Hale and Ray Walker.
Survivors include his children, Angela C. Randolph (Charlie), Kingston, Charles Kenneth "Kenny" Hallcox Jr. (Diana), Lombard, Ill., Michael D. Hallcox (Mariellen), Chicago, and Jennifer L. Hallcox, Kingston; brother, V. Leroy Hallcox, Ten Mile; sisters, Margaret Bailey, Kingston, Velma B. Rucker, Kingston, and Wilma J. Hale, Harriman; grandchildren, Kevin Randolph (Glenda), Kingston, Cagney Randolph (Laura), Kingston, Cody Hallcox and Taylor Hallcox, Lombard, Kristen Hallcox, North Dakota, and Lyndsey Hallcox, Chicago; great-grandchildren, Cara Randolph, Hanah Randolph and Keegan Randolph, all of Kingston, and Matthew Czech, Chicago; and uncle, J.D. Hallcox of Kingston.
Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Luminary Cemetery, with Pastor Kenny Rains officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Kingston.
