Charles Parker "Pot" Rose, 91, of Kingston passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, in Parkwest Medical Center.
He was of the Methodist faith. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a prisoner of war during World War II. He was a proud member of the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and the American Legion. He retired after 30 years as the assistant shift engineer from TVA Steam Plant. He was preceded in death by his brother, Huttie Rose.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanette Rose, Kingston; sister-in-law, Irene Edwards, Land O'Lakes, Fla.; a niece, JoAnn Milburn, Land O'Lakes; and a cousin, Carol Ann Ware, Maryville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Kyker Funeral Home chapel, Kingston, with Dr. Sonny Works officiating. Burial will be at Kingston Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston.
