Constance R. "Nancy" Taylor, 81, of Harriman, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in IU Health Arnett Hospital in Indiana.

She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Harriman. She was a member of St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, Harriman, and was active in many civic organizations, which included Harriman Progressive Civic Organization in the mid 1960s and the Roane Choral Group of Roane State Community College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Taylor; and her mother, Agnes Gilbreath.
Survivors include son, Daniel W. Taylor and wife Patricia, Harriman; daughter, G. Christine Taylor, LaFayette, Ind.; sons, Larry Taylor and wife Joyce, Lithonia, Ga., and Kendall Taylor and wife Stacy, Lithonia; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood. The service will follow in the chapel of Evans Mortuary at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Jesse L. Williams, Sr. officiating. Burial and graveside will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood.
