Damon Allen Brewer, 44, from Cocke County, formerly from Roane County, passed away July 19, 2013, after a long battle of cancer. 
Preceded in death by his father, David Brewer; grandparents, Catherine and Hurbert Patterson, Marie and Buford Brewer; aunts and uncles, Sue Taylor, Liz Woody and Charles Brewer. 
Damon had many talents and he loved snow boarding. He was a loving son and is survived by his mother, Tennie Lawson and her husband, the Rev. John Lawson; step-sister and her husband, Kellie and Kevin Corum of Corryton; step-brother, Tom, and his wife, Tara Lawson of Blaine; uncles and aunts include, Fred and Kay Patterson of Kingston, John and Juanita Patterson of Lenior City, Walter and Norma Patterson of Kingston, Mike and Beverly Patterson of Kingston, Retta and the Rev. Larry Bolden of Kingston, Dee and Jim McDonald of Kingston, Linda Neal of Harriman, Joe and Betty Woody of Kingston, Ellen Brewer of Lenior City; a host of cousins and a special cousin and friend, Craig Moser.
Family and friends will gather at Circle Assembly of God of Knoxville for the receiving of friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday July 27. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Patterson officiating.
By his mother's request, in lieu of flowers, donations should be given in Damon's name to the building fund at Marantha Church at Midway, Kingston, or Circle Assembly of God in Knoxville.
