Daniel Verlin Clower Sr., 58, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

He was born July 2, 1955 in Roane County and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a member of Tennessee Baptist Church. Mr. Clower enjoyed fishing, camping and going to flea markets. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Abbott Clower; and brother, John Quintin Clower Jr.
Survivors include children, Kristal Sherrill, Daniel Clower Jr., Daniel Clower, Jr., Starla Clower and Jason Clower, all of Crossville; father, John Verlin Clower Sr., Wartburg; fiancÃ©e, Valerie Blalock, Crossville; grandchildren, Makayla Woods, ChiAnna Sherill, Aaron Ashburn, Lilly, Alexis and Cameron Colwell; sister and special brother-in-law, Patty and Terry Moore. Kingston, special aunts and uncle, Betty Thompson, Lela Phillips and Glen Clower; special nieces and nephews, Tina and Jason Brown, and Bryley and Cody Brown; and special friend, Alan Ashburn.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston, with funeral service following at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Glen Clower and the Rev. Tim Ramey officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
