Deborah Gail Mingis, 56, of West Palm Beach, Fla., a former resident of Rockwood, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, following a short illness.

She was a graduate of Rockwood High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing, Knoxville. She was a member and morning greeter of Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Ethel Mingis, and Jess and Emma Davis; and niece, Kristin Hurst.
Survivors include parents, Donnie and Bobbye Mingis, Monroe, Ga.; brother, Allen Mingis and wife Mary Ann, Guyton, Ga.; sister, Nancy Hurst and husband Ricky, Snellville, Ga.; nephew, Wesley and Erin Hurst; niece, Kemmer Mingis; best friends, Kelley and Stuart Karbal; and beloved kitty, Miss Lilly,
Memorial services include a gathering of friends in West Palm Beach, a private family service at Tybee Island, Ga., and a memorial at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood.
