Glen M. Cantrell, 66, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, in Parkwest Medical Center following a long illness.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam between 1967-68. He enjoyed University of Tennessee football, restoring antique cars, woodworking, traveling and attending antique car shows. He was formerly employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lecy Cantrell.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sherry Cantrell, Kingston; daughters, Debbie Cantrell, Oak Ridge, and Rebecca Davis, Oak Ridge; son, Eric Majors, Kingston; sister, Frankie Hutcheson, Alabama; brothers, R.L. Cantrell, Kingston, Ray Cantrell, Kingston, Ronald Cantrell, Cleveland, Calvin Cantrell, Louisiana, Richard Cantrell, Kingston, and Roger Cantrell, Knoxville; and seven grandchildren.
Private graveside for the family will be at Kingston Memorial Gardens, with military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston.
