Jerry Lynn Poole, 67, of Lenoir City, formerly of Harriman, passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, surrounded by his family. 
He was known for his contagious smile, humor and charming personality. Jerry's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was always encouraging, kind and full of wisdom. His love for his family was unconditional. His strength, wisdom and faith in the Lord was the foundation that he built his family on. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Winnie Mae (Scarbrough) Poole; brother, Robert Poole, all of Harriman; sister, Nancy (Poole) Cullen, Clearwater, Fla.; father -in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Ellen Brown, Oakdale; and nephew, Travis Brown, Kingston.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years and the love of his life, Joan (Brown) Poole; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Christy Poole and Jason and Kala Poole; daughter, Racheal Poole; grandchildren, Kylee and Jacee Poole, Kain Brewster and Joslyn Poole and Tyson and Jacob Poole; brother-in-law, Jewel Brown; as well as many other special family and friends. 
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at New Providence Baptist Church, Loudon. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with pastor and friend, the Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Lakeview Cemetery, Lenoir City, for graveside services. Full military honors will be conducted by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City, is in charge of arrangements.
