Jim A. Mowery, 61, of Philadelphia passed away suddenly Monday, June 11, 2012.

He was a longtime employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He served in the National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Eagle Hunting Club for 30 years. He was a very kind-hearted, generous man who was always lending a helping hand to friends and family in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mowery; and a sister, Ginger Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanie French Mowery; a daughter, Sarah Mowery, Philadelphia; his mother, Dean Mowery, Harriman; a brother, Roger Mowery and wife Debbie, Lenoir City; two sisters, Terry Gamble, Maryville, and Anita Lawson and husband Steve; a brother-in-law, Joe Moore; his mother-in-law, Betty Woolard and husband Dave; and a brother-in-law, John French, all of Kingston; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Ted Halcomb officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:15 Friday morning, June 15, and proceed to Tennessee Chapel Cemetery in Paint Rock for graveside services at 11 a.m. Members of Eagle Hunting Club will serve as pallbearers.
